Yank-N-Crank…
Where
did all this begin? It was a breezy summer day. Perfect weather!
I was fishing with my friends. We were
miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. We were all alone… floating on the
water. The smell of bait and anticipation filled the warm summer
air. We all had our lines in the water, waiting for that first
strike.
SUDDENLY, one of my friends, a beginner fisherman, was lucky
enough to hook the first fish. He was so excited, but didn’t know
what to do… He screamed, “WHAT DO I DO NOW? I GOT ONE!”
I was on the other side of the boat… wondering why the fish took his
bait and not mine… and I yelled, “Just YANK-N-CRANK!”
And that’s where it all began.
That
expression, “Yank-N-Crank,” stuck in my mind for weeks and
weeks. Yank-N-Crank… Yank-N-Crank… Yank-N-Crank…
I thought and I thought… “What a great expression!” I
decided that I needed that expression on a shirt… or a
hat… or something! Then I said to myself… “Why not create a
fishing apparel line for those who enjoy the fishing lifestyle, but
want something more edgy, more extreme, and with more attitude;
expressing the adrenaline and the excitement of the sport?”
Soon enough, I started working on the ideas that I had in mind, and
made them become a reality.
Today,
Yank-N-Crank, LLC, an Extreme Fishing Apparel line, a Florida
corporation, is headquartered in Ocala.
Yank-N-Crank, LLC, represents, what I would consider, the
most original fishing apparel company in the United States and
beyond. Featuring unique and extreme designs; appealing to everyone
who enjoys the sport of fishing and the fishing lifestyle.
We are also
beginning to include other aspects of the fishing sportsman
lifestyle, including spear fishing, lobstering, boating, kayaking,
and any other water sport that I consider extreme, that
involves the catching of some sort of challenging foe. Oh heck… We may
even make a shirt for those that catch those King Crabs! Now
that’s Extreme!
By now, you
probably have already realized that I love fishing. I love to spear
fish. I Love to lobster. I love boating. I love anything that
gets me out onto the beautiful blue ocean. However, I am NOT a
professional or expert fisherman. I am just the average fisherman
who loves to catch fish. And we all know… that when
you are at the end of that bent fishing pole, pulling the trigger of
your spear gun, tickling that lobster, or just driving your boat to
your favorite spot… it is at that special moment, when time suddenly
stops, when you feel the rush, the adrenaline, the excitement,
that is the time that we all feel extreme!
Yank-N-Crank baby! Just Yank-N-Crank.
